What an excellent cat-flap. We'd been plagued by a tom-cat coming-in through the previous flap, spraying, bullying our little 'Fluffers' and eating her food. So, we had her micro-chipped, fitted the Sureflap and... problem solved. It took half a day to persuade her to go out through it by herself and a day & half to persuade her to come in by herself (with the aid of biscuit treats). A week later and she's using it with no problems.
Fitting it was very easy as the hole was already there from the previous cat-flap (through UPVC wall of our conservatory). The worst part of fitting was trying to undo the 4 small rusted nuts & bolts on the old 17 year old flap. That took up the first hour, then fitting the new flap took 10-15 minutes.
We've already recommended the Sureflap (& Impact Glazing) to 2 friends.
Word of caution - our local vet now fits micro-chips with 16 chips (the literature says Sureflap does not work with this). However, he managed to find a 15 chip version for Fluffers.
