Impact Glazing uses a secondary glazing system that is designed and manufactured second-to-none. The system is in use all over the United Kingdom, reducing noise levels and excluding draughts in a most attractive fashion. In fact all of the Secondary system units are available in a variety of colours should you wish to colour coordinate with your decor.

All windows available in 2, 3, 4 or 5 panel configurations, sliding on twin track system with nylon skids and fitted with spring loaded aluminium catches engaging on the inside only (for security) of the outer frame jambs. All sliding panels interlock at meeting styles thus providing a draught proof seal. Either wheels or self-lubricating nylon ’skids’ are morticed into the sill section of each panel allowing easy movement for ventilation. Larger panels may be fitted with rollers at extra cost.

Lift Out Units are manufactured as single pane fixed windows with removable panel for cleaning. They are not suitable for ventilation. The removable panel incorporates a full length finger rail at the bottom to assist in lifting the panel out. Panels over 1400mm in height are fitted with retaining clips to prevent the panel from bowing.

Fixed Insert Windows are manufactured as a single pane glazed frame only for fixing direct to existing doors or windows with wood screws. They are not removable for general cleaning or ventilation.

The Easyfix double glazing system is a secondary system that can be fitted internally or externally by any DIY enthusiast, quickly and efficiently, with the minimum of tools. The many benefits include, cutting fuel costs by reducing heat loss, eliminating draughts and lowering noise penetration.

The Easyfix system is based on a small flexible edging strip that is placed onto the edge of the glass or plastic sheeting. The corners are easily formed using the included mitre gauge, a feature unique to the Easyfix system, which gives a neat and accurate finish. The sheet is presented to the window frame and secured by nylon fixing clips and woodscrews.

Standard 15m and 30m packs include channeling suitable for 4mm glass available in three colours: clear, white and brown, nylon fixing clips that are available in natural or brown colour, fixing screws, a mitre block for perfect corner cuts on the chanelling and finally easy to follow instructions.
